Testing a Bulle Magnet and Pendulum
This short video shows how to quickly test a Bulle magnet and pendulum without the movement. I always use this method of testing the two parts when I rebuild every clock. It’s very useful to know at this point whether the magnet and coil are performing well before the movement is fixed in place. If the two are giving good consistent amplitude of swing then if the clock fails to perform with the movement then at least you can narrow your problem down to the movement, which, in my experience is almost always the case.
