Restoration
Eureka Nº 9458
The original balance spring was completely unwound by a person or Force unknown. It looked as though 10000 volts had been shot through it. It was replaced by a new spring of 11.5 turns. The coil was in fine condition and read 20 ohms. The clock was completely stripped, cleaned and rebuilt. It now keeps good time and the wheel revolves with an amplitude of 360 degrees.
